Welcome to Locket’s Meadow!
Note from Kathleen: For years I have been telling people that animal communication is no great mystery and anyone can do it – or, “If I can do it, anyone can.” I am almost done writing a workbook that will help you tap into your ability to “hear” your animal friends, and to give everyone a jump-start (as well as to pressure myself to finish it up) I will post the first few chapters on the website. It’s no great mystery as animals are talking to us all the time, and it’s just up to us to hear it. Follow the link to read the first installment.
And check out our animal communication workshop on May 19. Limited enrollment!
The virus that affected some of our horses has run its course and our voluntary quarantine will end on May 1. We look forward to seeing our regular riders and visitors again very shortly! Please “like” our Facebook page to get regular updates.
About the Farm:
Locket’s Meadow in Bethany, CT, is a sanctuary for at-risk farm animals. For years our focus was rescuing horses from the PMU (Pregnant Mare Urine) industry, but as times have changed, we have diversified into all kinds of horse rescue as well as expanded our farm animal rescue; most of our farm pets were saved from slaughter.
Rescued and rehabbed horses need jobs, and ours go to work as lesson ponies and therapeutic riding horses in our programs. Our other animals, including pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, burros and steers, also do therapeutic work as well as entertain visitors.
Our animals’ most notable trait? Every one of them is unusually friendly, which we think speaks to how grateful they are to be in a safe place.
Locket’s Meadow is a non-profit 501(c)3 organizations. Donations are used to support our rescue efforts – every little bit helps. They can be sent to Locket’s Meadow Farm, 755 Litchfield Turnpike, Bethany, CT 06524 or click on our donation button below.
